It's been over 7 months and it's still working very well. I used to use it everyday with 5 spoons of coffee beans and now I use it every other day with 7 spoons of coffee beans which give me the same strength.

Simple yet durable design. Have had it for years now with no problems. Useful for grinding coffee beans, flax seeds, and just about anything. One caveat is that the grinding area only accounts for about 20% of the unit so don't buy this if you need something for larger cooking projects such as making flour for bread baking.

KRUPS F20342 Electric Spice and Coffee Grinder a good grinder. I currently use it to grind espresso beans, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll continue to use it in that capacity. It only has one speed level. That's fine for things like grinding peppercorns, dried hot peppers, or other spices -- things that you'd prefer to turn into dust. But sometimes I find that for coffee, it grinds the beans either too fine (resulting in a bitter coffee) or too coarse (resulting in a watery coffee). If you want to use it as a spice grinder, it's a great option. If you're not too particular about your coffee, it's a fine option. If you're highly particular about your coffee, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Timer settings are really helpful when you want to just get your coffee and go. Easy to clean. This product has a removeable filter cup for easy cleaning. Also, the auto-pause in brewing is helpful to both allow for quick removal and less spilling. It takes a little longer to brew 4 cups with this maker as it does in a larger maker. This may simply be due to the size of the product.

I read many of the previous reviews, some of which were not very flattering to this specific coffee maker. I decided to try it out and come up with my own conclusion. Here is my opinion on the Mr. Coffee 4-cup Programmable Coffeemaker. I purchased two of them, one for my husband who likes coffee and one for me who favors tea (although on occassion I will make a pot of coffee). Some remarks were that the coffee had a "plastic" taste. When we first took the coffeemaker out of the box it certainly had a "plastic" smell to it, oh, but of course, it is made of plastic. Thank goodness it had that "NEW" plastic smell, otherwise I might think it was previously used. The coffee and the tea did not have any plastic taste to it.

Then I read that it takes too long to brew. I did not find this to be true, it took just the right amount of time to make a great pot of coffee/tea, probably less than 4 minutes. But then, I do multitask in the morning allowing the pot to brew. So, I found no issue with brewing time.

On the responses that made pouring an issue and that it was found that the 4-cup would not fill 2 large mugs, here is what I found. Absolutely no problem with pouring. I have had larger coffeemakers in the past that seemed to have this problem no matter what I tried, so I do understand the issue. But this one is perfect. Next, I do have a large mug and what I found works for me is when I fill my first mug up, I add just a small amount of water to the pot so that when I came back for my next refill, it is just enough to fill my mug. Also, by doing this the tea and the coffee are not too strong and bitter, as can happen when they sit and continue brewing.

So far I have had no issue with the clock settings. I am neither gaining or losing time. But even if it gets to that point, I have to tell you, I did not buy the coffeemaker for the clock, I have plenty of them around the house, including a watch that I wear. Yes, I realize that if the clock does not keep perfect time, when you program the coffeemaker it could be off by a few minutes. For me, not an issue.

This is only my experience and opinion on the Mr. Coffee Coffeemaker. We are very pleased with the product. I was worried about the other comments that I read, but the issues that bothered others did not, thankfully, manifest with us. I hope this helps others to decide for themselves on which coffeemaker to purchase, and that you find your way to that wonderful cup of coffee or tea.

What can I say. As with most Crock-Pot products, it does a great job. The exterior is attractive and easy to clean. It cooks evenly and at the correct temperature. If you need to transport your food somewhere after cooking, the clamp down cover, with gasket, eliminates the chance of spills. Cooking time is easily programmed, and after cooking is completed it automatically switches to "warm" in order to keep your food at proper serving temperature. The removable "crock" is easy to clean. All in all, this is an excellent value!

I bought this Crock Pot because the ceramic middle of my old one cracked and became a Crack Pot. Anyway, I noticed first that the ceramic middle of this model is much lighter, therefore, easier to wash than my old one that I'd bought about 6 years ago. The cook settings are better, too, because they used to only let you do 2 or 4 hours on high and 6 or 8 hours on low, but now you can do any amount of time on either temperature.

Slow cookers are ideal for so many reasons. They don't heat up the whole house in the summer. They use PENNIES to cook the same thing it costs DOLLARS to cook in an oven. For instance, the cost to run your oven for 4 hours/day for one month costs about $44.00. The same time in a Crock Pot costs about $0.60.

I couldn't wait to receive this gadget after the 1st time I saw it. It is very easy to use and the results are great. I have made 4 or 5 breakfast sandwiches, using English Muffins. All with 100% satisfactory results. The muffins are perfectly toasted and the egg done exactly right every time. So far I have only used English Muffins, large eggs, already cooked bacon and a slice of cheese. I intend to branch out with other ingredients. Highly recommend to everyone.

I am very pleased with the Breakfast Sandwich Maker. It works well. It is simple to use and simple to clean. My only suggestion is to use a touch of cooking spray before placing the egg (it just makes the egg slide off a little easier). I've found that 4:30 minutes is the perfect cook time.

The sandwich maker does an excellent job of lightly toasting the muffin on top and bottom. It thoroughly and evenly cooks the egg. And nicely warms the cheese and meat (I use Canadian bacon).

Super-Easy Classic Roast Chicken

Super-easy classic roast chicken.  Even better that it is quick to prepare and tastes fantastic! Everyone in the house loved it! Will definitely be making this one again! So simple and turned out soooo succulent and lots of flavour. I'll never buy a precooked chicken again, this was worth it. Yummy! I used a lime instead of a lemon as that is what I had. The chicken skin was crispy and super tasty. Will be passing this recipe on thanks.

Super-Easy Classic Roast Chicken

Ingredients

    1.6kg whole chicken

    1 lemon, halved

    2 teaspoons olive oil

Method

1. Preheat oven to 220°C. Lightly grease a roasting pan. Place a wire rack into roasting pan. Trim excess fat from chicken. Discard neck. Rinse chicken (including cavity) under cold running water. Pat-dry with paper towels. Season cavity with salt and pepper.
2. Gently squeeze the juice from half the lemon over chicken, rubbing juice into skin. Place both lemon halves into chicken cavity. Tie legs together with kitchen string.
3. Brush both sides of chicken with oil. Season chicken all over with salt and pepper. Place, breast-side up, onto rack in roasting pan. Roast for 1 hour or until juices run clear when chicken thigh is pierced with a skewer. Stand, covered, for 10 minutes. Serve with roast vegetables, if desired.

I thought this recipe looked a bit blah, but it was really impressive! I used a 1.4kg chook and an hour was perfect. Based on what other readers wrote, I turned it over twice during the cooking, which gave it a beautiful crispness all around and wonderfully moist inside. I added veggies covered with foil in a separate pan to the oven at the same time as the chicken and removed the foil in the last 20 min to brown and they turned out fabulous. Thanks for a top recipe!

Great recipe, cooked to perfection using the recipe cook time and temp. I tried turning upside down to rest but this meant that I lost any crunch to the skin - despite having drained the juices. I used a terracotta roasting dish, without rack insert. Next time I will rest it on a wire rack. Made a delicious gravy from the juices by adding 1tb cornflour and 2tsp veg stock powder and stirring over a low heat for 5 min or so. I will be making this again, got compliments from all at the table.

Used a big 1.8kg chicken and squeezed the lemon on and then placed the lemon pieces and 1 clove of garlic halved and squashed into the cavity of the chicken, sprayed with olive oil and then coated with a mixture of paprika, rock salt and tarragon. it took quite a while to cook but it was so yummy...the breast was juicy and the lemon permeated all the chicken...delicious!
