I received the Whirley Pop 6-qt popper as a gift for Christmas. I had asked for a popcorn popper because my husband and I have gone through about 4 hot air poppers in the 5 years we've been married. This popper is great! I was skeptical at first, I must admit, but the popcorn from this method DOES taste superior! I think everyone should own one. They allow you to control what kind of oil and how much, use bulk corn and save money and natural resources, and they are fun. It takes me about 4 minutes to make a full batch on my gas stove. Almost every kernel pops every time. Sometimes they ALL POP. And no burnt kernels! If you aren't too lazy to turn the crank slowly while you wait for your popcorn, try this popper. It is inexpensive, easy to clean, and makes your kitchen smell like a movie theater. Don't let the "primitive" design fool you. This makes top-notch popcorn. I have used mine almost daily for 3 weeks and I am overjoyed. I will never buy chips or microwave popcorn again

I was given Whirly Pop two years ago and have used it a least once a week since then. I consider myself a gourmet popcorn eater. In short, it's my favorite food! I've tried popcorn cooked in just about any way you can imagine, from over a campfire to a microwave. Without question, the Whirly Pop beats them all! It took me a few tries to find the right combination of heat, oil and brand of popcorn. I now know to use medium heat, 2 tbls. of peanut oil, 1/2 cup of Newman's Own Organic popcorn, topping it off with melted butter. Yummmm...I was hesitant about the durability of the nylon gears but with consistent use it has held up well. The unit is easy to clean and fun to use.

Do you remember when pop corn didn't come out of a Microwave? You will love this old fashioned machine, it will give you pop corn in no time, and it will be extremely easy to clean. It pops pop corn easily, and efficiently. This machine is easy to clean. The pop corn tastes better than microwave pop corn, and is less expensive. There is really no need to pay three dollars for three bags of pop corn. I like to be able to readily name what is in my food before I eat it. You will love this too! You can use a lighter oil that is more healthy, and go ahead and heat a little butter for this, and enjoy.
