This is a great solution for space-restricted kitchens. One set of these pyrex dishes and you can bake or cook and go to the fridge to store. So no need to have a pile of plastic storage ware. Also, plastic stains with tomato sauce and berries. These glass dishes are stain-proof. And you can microwave them; I don't like microwaving plastic because it can melt.This makes a really welcome wedding or housewarming gift. It's plain, but something useful and everyone needs these. Much nicer than plastic storage dishes and more inert and long-lasting, too.

I love this set. I can use it as to store, to bake, to warm, and to serve. I wash only the glass in the dishwasher. The lids are washed by hand. I use this set for everything. My favorite part is that the dishes are small enough to use to serve when I don't want to drag the big bowls out. This was a great deal.

I bought two of these sets and am so pleased I am thinking of buying two more. The smooth glass design is attractive, easy to clean, and stackable. The lids fit on very snugly. The variety of sizes in the set is great. The larger bowls are good for individual servings of noodles or other pasta, and the smaller bowls are good for individual servings of cereal, soup, or chili. I do hand-wash the lids because I wouldn't want to risk heat-damage, but the rest go easily into the dishwasher. I love Pyrex.
