Paderno World Cuisine Tri-Blade Plastic Spiral Vegetable Slicer Reviews
By D. Jarvi (Columbus, OH)
As with any spiral vegetable slicer, this allows one to make various continuous cuts out of vegetables such as carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, etc. I have used this and found it to be easy to use and accomplishes the task it was designed for. This is an inexpensive version that would fit into any home. If you want to try out an inexpensive vegetable spiraler before buying a more expensive one, this one will fit the bill. It comes with three different types of fixed cutting blades that slide into the frame and snaps in. The noodles that can be made are broad flat, narrow flat and spaghetti styles. Clean up is fairly easy. The slicer is made of plastic and has suction cups on the feet to hold on to a flat counter or table top. The blades are metal attached to mounting plates that slide and snap lock into the vertical frame.

I rarely write reviews, but have found myself prattling like an Infomercial to family and friends about this thing. Before purchasing, I watched a Paderno Spiralizer You Tube demo with a suitably jaded eye, wondering how many takes it took to achieve such a flawless performance? Well... people, it worked right out of the box (after washing, of course), easily and perfectly! And fun, did I mention it is fun to use? There is a definite alchemy vibe, spinning noodles from zucchini. Last night, meatball stroganoff over zucchini noodles. My husband was purring. I love chopped salads, but not the labor involved in making them. With this gadget, our vegetable consumption has tripled. Over the Christmas holidays, I was eating like a raptor. But now, with the help of my Spiralizer, I am back to my pre-Christmas fighting weight. The Spiralizer is thoughtfully designed. The plastic is heavy-duty and the parts fit together well. I have hand-washed and air dried it (clean-up in less than a minute), so I cannot comment about whether dishwasher cleaning would warp parts or dull blades. I know what my gluten-intolerant friends are getting for Christmas this year. Heck, I know what EVERYONE is getting this year.

Here's a video showing exactly how it works. Wonderful machine! we love the zucchini noodles which we wok-cook to get them crispy. The cucumber noodles can be eaten raw. We tend to serve recipes with peanut sauce over the cucumber typically.
So my husband created a video showing how this can be done. Have a look and it's our first video so if you want to leave us feedback on youtube, that will really help. :)
